Time for some cake...

Imagine a rainbow cake covered in white icing. At first all you see is a plain white cake, however, when you slice into it you will reveal many unexpected layers.

What (else) may you see, and howmay that change your view of them?

"the best way to get to know someone is to have a conversation with them"

Seeing and acknowledging someone builds  stronger connections and trust

Imagine if you could find out more about another person’s life and what they were thinking? What would you find? We can sometimes get caught up in our own view of the world and cannot see theirs.

Let me give you an example. Imagine you are talking to a friend, and they have been a bit off with you lately, what could sit underneath that? If you ask questions that dig deeper and build understanding before you have your say, what would you find out? If you noticed an underlying fear, insecurity or even a desire that they had, would that change how you see and interact with them? Most people just want to feel like they are seen and valued.

Try this....

1. Imagine a person that you have difficulties talking to.

2. Write a list of everything that they may be going through, their difficulties, interests, desires, personal goals etc.

3. What did you learn, and what could you do differently now?

Take the test...

Do you want to understand your current level of skill?
